Ahead Academy uses hair to teach youth entrepreneurship & empowerment.

Through after-school classes, seasonal camps, and weekend workshops, we create spaces where youth are celebrated, affirmed, and equipped to lead.

After-School Classes

During the school year, we offer after school braiding classes for youth grades 3-8.

We offer 2-week-long summer camps in June and July for youth grades 3-5.

Ahead of the Rest

At Ahead Academy, we believe access is essential.

That’s why we created Ahead of the Rest, our nonprofit arm that ensures families and schools without the means can still experience our programs. Through this model, we offer workshops, after-school programs, and camps on a sliding scale or entirely free.

As a social enterprise, revenue from Ahead Academy helps power this mission. It allows us to reach more girls, especially in communities that have historically been overlooked or underfunded.
